United Methodist Women (UMW)

United Methodist Women (UMW) is the successor to the home and foreign missionary societies, the ladies' aid societies, and guilds of the seven predecessor denominations now comprising the United Methodist Church.  It is a group of women in each congregation organized for mission. 

We invite you to membership in United Methodist Women!

First Circle meets at 1:00 pm, the second Monday of each month at Sharon. 

Mary & Martha Circle meets at 7:00 pm, the second Tuesday of each month at Sharon.

Roses of Sharon Circle meets at 10:00 am, the second Tuesday of each month at Sharon.

Didn't get enough goodies over the holidays?  Get ready for our Bake Sale at the Boy Scout BBQ on Friday, January 22, 2010.

Valentines Card Sales begin January 24, 2010 on Sundays in the Narthex through February 14th.  All proceeds go to Church Women United to purchase blankets for those in need around the world.

The Charlotte District Mission Study will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at First UMC in Mt. Holly.  The study is entitled "The Beauty and Courage of Sudan:  Why a Dream of Peace is Possible."  This study was the geographic focus of the 2009 School of Christian Mission.  Registration begins at 9:30 am; the session runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Cost is $7.50 per person and includes lunch.  Please forward your check and registration to Karen Olert no later than February 2, 2010.
