United Methodist Women (UMW)

United Methodist Women (UMW) is the successor to the home and foreign missionary societies, the ladies' aid societies, and guilds of the seven predecessor denominations now comprising the United Methodist Church. It is a group of women in each congregation organized for mission.

We invite you to membership in United Methodist Women!

First Circle meets at 1:00 pm, the second Monday of each month at Sharon.

Mary & Martha Circle meets at 7:00 pm, the second Tuesday of each month at Sharon.

Roses of Sharon Circle meets at 10:00 am, the second Tuesday of each month at Sharon.

Upcoming UMW Events

The World Day of Prayer 2010: Cameroon, "Let Everything That Has Breath Praise God," is Friday, March 5, 2010 at Sharon Towers. The program begins at 10:30 am and is sponsored by Church Women United.

The Charlotte District Prayer Breakfast is Saturday, March 20, 2010. It will be held at Myers Park UMC with registration & breakfast starting at 9:00 am. The program begins at 10:00 am. Registration is required by March 9th and cost is $7.50 per person. Contact Karen Olert for registration.

On Sunday, April 18, 2010, the UMW will sponsor a Chili Luncheon benefitting Bethlehem Center Camperships. The luncheon will begin after the Sunday worship services. Donations for the Camperships will be accepted.

UMW will hold an Education & Interpretation Event on April 21, 2010 at noon in the Narthex. The speaker will be from Crisis Assistance Ministries. All are welcome to attend.

The Charlotte District Mission Study originally scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2010 was postponed due to inclement weather. The rescheduled date will be posted as soon as it is available.
