Full name: Nancy Miller Campbell But Please Call Me: Nancy Position: Associate Pastor Born where and when: December 31, Concord, N.C. Family Facts: I was married to William A. "Bill" Campbell, Jr. on 10-17-76. We have two children – Ryan, 23, living in Chapel Hill, NC and working at the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy, and Erin, 20, a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish and French. Education: B.A. in Religion and Psychology, Duke University, December 1975: MHDL (Agency Counseling), UNCC 1984, Foundational Course of Study for Diaconal Ministry How I became a Christian: Psalm 139:13 states – "Oh yes, you (God) shaped me first inside, then out, you formed me in my mother's womb." God has had a hand in my life for as long as I can remember and certainly further back than that! I was reared in a home where Christian faith was a vital part of everything we did and my life has been a process of continuing to deepen my relationship with Christ. How I ended up at Sharon: The agency where I did counseling for many years began to change its focus and I chose to leave not knowing where I would serve next – a big risk of faith! Within the first month I was out of work the position for Associate Pastor opened at Sharon with responsibilities in areas that I very much enjoy. The most important thing I do around here is: Listen! Favorites:
How I spend my free time: reading, walking, working out and yoga Best books I've read recently: In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan; Life of the Beloved by Henri Nouwen Prized possession: my brand new Toyota Prius Nobody knows that I... am a Bruce Springsteen freak Hero I'd most like to meet: the Boss My vision for the future of Sharon Church is: My vision for Sharon is that it will continue to grow as a place where all people are welcome and where each person can connect to a full and meaningful life that is possible through a relationship with Christ. One way folks can pray for me is: Pray that I will be able to be in tune with God's will for my life and that God will use me to minister to this church and the community beyond.
