Our Mission At Sharon, we take seriously our mission of Connecting People To Life In Jesus Christ—Invite, Grow, Send . . . In each of us, there is a joyful, authentic self, wanting to come to Life. Our mission is to help each other find that Life in Jesus Christ. Our History Sharon was founded in 1966. The congregation is diverse and includes all ages from infants to senior adults. Throughout its history, Sharon has emphasized worship, missions, music, education, and service. Our Organization Sharon is governed by a Covenant Council, consisting of thirteen lay members elected to three-year terms, plus the Senior Pastor. The work of the church is carried out by Ministry Teams under the guidance of eleven lay Ministry Coordinators. All members are encouraged to participate on one or more Ministry Teams. Paid professional staff members guide and support all congregational activities, as well as lead worship and participate in Covenant Council meetings. |
