Full name: John William Stafford But Please Call Me: John Position: Music Director Born where and when: Winston-Salem, NC; March 22, but grew up in Churchland, NC, outside Lexington Family Facts: wife: Mary; children: Will (14) and Kevin (13) Education: BA; CatawbaCollege; 2 years graduate studies at South Carolina How I became a Christian: accepted Christ at age 12 in the church I grew up in, Churchland Baptist Church How I ended up at Sharon: Sharon UMC members knew of the work I was doing and contacted me about applying for the position at Sharon, and I am VERY happy that they put me in touch with this wonderful church family. Our Sharon family became a big part of our engagement, wedding and now, our marriage. Seeing friendly faces and open arms each Sunday is a perfect ending to a tough week, whether it's hugs from the adults after service, high-fives from the youth, or giggles from the 4-year-olds we teach once a month.
