For Children and Students

Children of all ages are welcome to attend service with their parents. In addition, Sharon offers nursery care for infants through three-year-old children and Christian education opportunities for children ages two through twelfth grade.

Nursery care is provided for infants through three-year-old children during all services, Sunday school and fellowship times. The nursery is in rooms J9 and J11, on the right side of the building when facing the sanctuary. To provide consistency, the rooms are staffed by the same paid workers each week. Pagers also are available in the infant nursery.

Godly Play is available during the 9:00 AM Contemporary Service for children ages four through first grade. Godly Play is a unique form of storytelling that introduces children to the elements of worship and religious language. Children begin the service with their families and are escorted to Godly Play when noted in the service. Please click here for more information on Godly Play.

Sunday School for all children takes place at 10:05 AM. Children ages two through five participate in the Exploring Faith classes, while children in Kindergarten through fifth grade enjoy the rotation Sunday school curriculum PowerXpress. Students in grades six to eight attend a custom-made class, featuring prayer, Biblical investigation, discussion and current issues. Finally, those in grades nine to twelve are welcome to participate in the senior-high, discussion-oriented Sunday school class in our youth center.

Live B.I.G. is available during the 11:15 Traditional Service for four-year-old preschoolers through first graders. Live B.I.G. is a program designed for children to hear, see, and live their Belief In God. Each session is based on three truths. God is a great big God, God loves us with a great big love, and we are part of God's great big world.
