"It humbles me to be among so many fine people who are so accepting and affirming. I always feel good when I see my "faith friends" at Sharon. I have been more educated about my faith, in a non-threatening way. I appreciate the programs offered to help me learn more about discipleship and my faith. I appreciate the approach that we are all different but have something good to offer, in our own ways."

Sunday Mornings for Children
Nursery care is provided every Sunday for infants through three-year-old preschoolers during all services, Sunday school and fellowship times.  The nursery rooms are located in J9 and 11, on the right side of the building when facing the sanctuary.  To provide consistency, the rooms are staffed by the same paid workers each week. Pagers also are available in the infant nursery.

Godly Play is available during the 9:00 AM Contemporary Service for four-year-old preschoolers through first graders.  Godly Play is a unique form of storytelling that introduces children to the elements of worship and religious language.  Children begin in the service with their families and are escorted to Godly Play when noted in the service.

Preschool Sunday school is offered at 10:05 AM in room J5.  The class is taught by a team of volunteers and the curriculum used is the Exploring Faith series.

Younger elementary choir rehearses Sundays from 10:00 to 10:20 AM.  This choir is open to all Kindergarten through second graders.  After choir, the children are taken directly to Sunday school.  Click here to find our about additional children’s choirs and their rehearsal times.

Bible Zone is offered at 10:05 AM for third through fifth graders.  It is a short opening time where they are introduced to the parts of the Bible and practice using it! After Bible Zone, the children are taken directly to Sunday school.

Elementary Sunday school is offered at 10:20 AM.  This Sunday school uses the PowerXpress curriculum and is based on the rotation Sunday school model.  This program explores a central theme for six to eight weeks as the children rotate to a different station each week.  Stations include: art, music, computer lab, storytelling, cooking, science, games and video theater.  The children are divided into two groups, Kindergarten through second graders, and third through fifth graders.

Live B.I.G. is available during the 11:15 Traditional Service for four-year-old preschoolers through first graders.  Live B.I.G. is a program designed for children to hear, see, and live their Belief In God.  Each session is based on three truths:  God is a great big God, God loves us with a great big love, and we are part of God's great big world.  Children begin in the service with their families and are escorted to Live B.I.G. when noted in the service.
